Doogie White is the new vocalist for Yngwie's South America tour.
Having recorded with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Cornerstone and Nikolo Kotzev, Dougie is sure to make a big impression on the next leg of the 'WTEAW' tour.

When did you first discuss joining Yngwie for the South American dates?
About the 12 of August when I was in Copenhagen singing on the new Cornerstone album.

Does the setlist cover all of Yngwie's career? You have mentioned Hiroshima Mon Amour - does that mean some Alcatrazz tracks are planned for the live show?
I don't know if it covers it all but we are doing older tunes as well as from WTEAW, which I think is a great record.

It must be a great thrill to have/be working with two of the all time greats in Blackmore and now Yngwie. Did you ever envisage this happening when you started out?
Man, you play with the cards you are dealt!!. It was a pleasure to play with Ritchie and I am looking forward to working with Yngwie. I met him in London and he was cool. He is a guitar giant, and I'm sure we'll get on just fine.

Are there any particular Yngwie songs you want to do live?
'Rising Force', 'Crucify' and 'Seventh Sign'.

Any final comments on joining Yngwie's band or anything to tell Yngwie's fans here at Guitar Alchemy?
We have agreed to do this tour together for 3 weeks, perhaps it will lead to an album together next year or so. I think that would be fun. We have not talked about this but it will be interesting to sit down and see where he would want an album with me contributing to go. All good things to those who wait. So you lot will all have to wait and see what happens. This is a tough selection of songs he's set up but I'm looking forward to rockin in South America.
