Derek Sherinian Interview June 2002 |
|
How
soon after the WTEAW tour dates did Yngwie ask you to play on the
record? What
state were the tracks in when you recorded down your parts, where
they rough ideas or quite polished in so much as the guitar/drum and
bass tracks - any scratch vocals? Where
did you record your parts? You
have played some of Yngwie's classics on the WTEAW tour, how does
this new material compare stylistically to what Yngwie has done previously? To
which album/era would you compare 'Attack'? Did
you get free-reign in the choice of keyboard sounds you used, or was
Yngwie quite specific in what he wanted? What
equipment did you use and what sort of sounds did you use on the album? I
believe you have Yngwie playing on your forthcoming solo album, what
did Yngwie contribute to it and what else can we expect from it? Have
you been contacted regarding playing on any upcoming Yngwie tour? Finally
do you have any funny stories from your time in the studio with Yngwie? Official
